Warranty

Hodge Systems Pty Ltd, trading as Tambortech (“Tambortech”) warrants that, under normal use, installation and service, Tambortech will replace or repair (at our discretion) any defect or fault in our Tambortech products caused by our own manufacturing process for a period of five (5) years from the date of sale to the customer/purchaser/installer (“Consumer”) provided the product has been installed using the appropriate installation guide as provided on the www.tambortech.com.au website.

This warranty applies to Tambour Door products only. Electric Motors and Electric Motor Controllers are excluded from this warranty and may be warranted under a separate manufacturer warranty.

Tambortech will replace any defective parts free of charge, no matter who is at fault. If the brackets are missing, we will replace the brackets free of charge.

Normal Use

This warranty only applies to products which have been installed by a certified tradesperson in their original installation location provided the product has been installed correctly and competently using the appropriate installation guide as provided on the www.tambortech.com.au website. Tambortech Tambour Doors are primarily designed for use in cupboards manufactured from pre-finished board. If the Tambour Door is used in other applications, this Warranty will not apply. If the product is built in, enclosed in any way or other trades are required to disconnect appliances, water supply, etc., the extra cost of removal and re-installation is not covered by this warranty.

Our products are only to be used for their intended purpose. This warranty only applies to defects or faults caused by our own manufacturing process and to products used in a normal manner.

This warranty does not apply to any defects or damages arising from any of the following:

  • The quality and workmanship of any finish applied by others to the surface of the Tambour Door;
  • Accidents, abuse or misuse including exposure to water, extreme temperatures or steam;
  • Improper or incorrect installation of the product, including alteration or adaptation of any parts supplied; and
  • Alteration or repair by anyone not authorised by Tambortech.

Claims

Due to the nature of the products, Tambortech is unable to visit your site for either inspection or installation of the product. To make a claim under this warranty the Consumer must, within five (5) years from the date of sale to the Consumer, submit to Tambortech written notice by post to Tambortech, PO Box 687, Sumner Park BC QLD, 4074, by facsimile to 1300 667 122 or by email to sales@tambor.com.au and include clear pictures describing and showing the alleged defect along with the job/invoice number (found on the label fixed to the top slat of the Tambour Door) and proof of purchase.

If a successful warranty claim is made, the damaged or faulty Tambour Door must be returned to Tambortech at 235 Orchard Road, Richlands, QLD, 4077. Our staff will arrange freight pick up at the expense of Tambortech.

The benefits given to the Consumer by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of a Consumer under a law in relation to the goods to which this warranty relates.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
